At the physiotherapy practice brown waleson you can solve your physical complaints
Do you experience problems with movements in your sport, work or daily life? A physiotherapist can help. Our practice consists of physiotherapists who have built up a great deal of experience in remedying physical complaints. As a physiotherapist, we will make an accurate analysis of your complaints during the first appointment. After this analysis, a diagnosis is made which we discuss with you so that you have a clear picture of what the problem is. Next, together we will draw up a goal in which your personal request for help is central. In the treatment process, we use mobilisations, remedial therapy and other additional interventions to remedy your symptoms and work towards your goal.Â
Â
Practice for Physiotherapy Bruin Waleson is located in Amsterdam East, in the Wibautstraat and in Amsterdam Centre, in the Jodenbreestraat. Also we opened a new location on the Weesperzijde in Amsterdam. Check all our locations here.
Experienced physiotherapists are present in our practice in Amsterdam East and Amsterdam Centre. Each physiotherapist has his/her own expertise. At Fysiotherapie Bruin Waleson we offer regular physiotherapy, rehabilitation after surgery or rehabilitation aimed at returning to work, sports physiotherapy, manual therapy, oncological physiotherapy, physiotherapy for pregnancy and ultrasound.
Because of our cooperation with SportCity, our practice has excellent training facilities at both locations to get you back to your desired level of functioning.
Â
We think it is important that you know where your complaints come from. Insight and knowledge about your complaint is the first step towards pain-free movement. An initial treatment will therefore always start with a clear explanation of the cause of your symptoms.Â
Next, the physiotherapist will use various treatment methods such as mobilisations, manipulations, exercises and other interventions to help you get rid of your symptoms, and we believe it is important that you receive advice that focuses on prevention in order to prevent a recurrence of your complaint.
A physiotherapist who has completed a three-year master’s degree in manual therapy is a manual therapist. The manual therapist focuses specifically on the functioning of joints of the spine and other joints. Manual therapy focuses on making the joints mobile again by means of mobilisations and manipulations. An immediate effect is often felt.Â
During or after (severe) cancer treatment, it is useful to keep fit. Research shows that people who train with a specially trained physiotherapist during cancer treatment have fewer side effects of chemotherapy, are less likely to stop treatment prematurely and are able to return to work sooner. Training with a trained physiotherapist after medical treatment leads to a faster recovery of fitness and strength, fatigue and people can resume their daily activities more quickly.
Dry needling is an effective method to treat trigger points or muscle knots. Muscle knots can be caused by overload, fatigue, an accident, joint dysfunction or stress. During treatment, a dry needle is inserted into or near the trigger point by the physiotherapist. The sharp stimulus triggers a reflex, which leads to an immediate relaxation of the tissue. As a result, you will immediately experience a reduction in your symptoms.
If you are unable to come to one of our practices for treatment, we offer physiotherapy at home. At the request of the general practitioner or the specialist, one of our physiotherapists will visit you at home.Â
